Brief info
Tia is the Assistant Pastor of Free Church of Faith in West Philadelphia under the leadership of Pastor Arthur Marks Jr. She is an advocate and philanthropist for victims and survivors of domestic violence and the author of Suffering In Silence, her personal story of surviving domestic violence. The book is dedicated to the lives of all who are dealing with any form of abuse.
Her desire is to carry out this purpose of ministering, healing, and deliverance in the area of domestic violence. Operating as a minister with close to twenty-seven years of experience as a teacher, class instructor, speaker, philanthropist, Certified Sexual Assault Crisis Counselor and author, she is committed to and has executed the following and more as the Executive Director of her nonprofit, Rise Out of the Ashes Inc. She has hosted events, developed classes, and formed support groups to teach, inform, and bring awareness to the issue of domestic violence while also bringing healing, encouragement, and deliverance to victims and survivors. Along with putting these programs together, she engages survivors, victims, and other leaders to participate and contribute.
Tia regularly participates in events, workshops, symposiums, panel discussions, and interviews, emphasizing the vital role that religious organizations and faith communities must play in providing resources, help, and support for victims and survivors of domestic violence. She is also a part of the Interfaith Domestic Abuse Coalition and the Mainline Multi-Faith Coalition.
In addition, Tia is the host of the international radio program Suffering In Silence, created as an extension of her efforts to provide support, encouragement, and resources to people around the globe dealing with domestic violence. The program airs on the LuvBay Afrobeat Music Talk Radio station, which reaches over 110 countries, every Friday evening at 7:00pm ET.
